MONDAY session will cover various styles and techniques for Studio style portraits and bridals. Lighting, attire and interaction with the client are covered as you follow two of the industry's leading portrait artists create images you can emulate as you have the opportunity to use your camera. This session commences at 9:30 am breaks for lunch and recommences at 1:30 pm.

TUESDAY session is on location and the class will divide into groups that will be mentored by Maz and Norman. You will create images you can use for your own website and display and we will produce prints for you to take away. You will learn or enhance your existing skills at finding backgrounds and light. Both Monday and Tuesday sessions will end at approximately 5:30 pm.

Norman is an internationally acclaimed wedding and portrait photographer with outstanding credentials. Rick is one of the world's leading digital artists with extensive credentials and lectures across the world to professional groups.

This a all day intensive workshop. In the MORNING session Norman will create the portraits demonstrating lighting techniques that create the perfect representation of the subject. Part of the this technique is analysis of the subject and who he or she is and selecting the appropriate attire. This session commences at 9 am.

In the AFTERNOON Rick will demonstrate work flow and the finishing of the portrait using Photoshop. This session commences at 1.30 pm. The workshop will end at 5 pm. You have the option of reserving for Monday when the subject will be female or Tuesday when the subject will be male or reserving for both sessions.

BBC3 Pilot Looking for Engaged Couples to Test Drive Their Marriage

Have you ever wondered how people view you as a couple? Would you like the chance to delve into somebody else’s engagement and see what they’re planning for their big day, and their future lives together?

So much focus goes into the wedding day that sometimes the big questions get buried beneath the flower arrangements and seating plans. We are looking for young couples who are interested in taking a voyage of discovery with their partner before the big day - an experience designed to give their marriage a better chance of lasting the course.

You need to have your wedding plans underway and be willing to explore your relationship with your partner. You will need to be open with one another about what you want from your life together – your strengths and weaknesses as a couple. You will also be interested in finding out more about what makes people’s relationships tick.

Mitesh and Manisha - Northbrook Park



Maz events team would like to congratulate Mitesh and Manisha. They enjoyed a whole weekend of wedding celebrations at the beautiful grounds of Northbrook Park. Each event was individually themed utilising the stunning surroundings of the venue. They were married in the vine room under the waterfountain mandap which was draped in orange and finished with burnt orange and red floral arrangements. The guests enjoyed a short break in their cottages and then ushered into the orangery for the couple’s rainforest themed wedding reception. Their top table was Maz’s frame background entwined with rainforests props. The orangery ceiling was covered with peacock green and turquoise draping, oversized butterflies and hanging birds contrasting with the walls which were covered in greenery. The decor was finished with Maz’s signature birdcage table centres placed on alternate tables adsn LED mood lighting to compliment the theme. To finish the weekend off the next day they performed the civil ceremony under the waterfountain which was draped with rich plum fabric. The whole team thoroughly enjoyed expressing their creativity with this event it was truly distinctive.

Bollywood Ball with James Caan - St Johns Hotel



The whole Maz events team not only themed but also enjoyed an evening with a whole host of celebrities at the St Johns Hotel, for an evening in aid of the Pakistani Flood Victims. The event started with a lively dance performance by Hina & Co, followed by the host for the night Llewela Bailey opening the event and introducing the cause. Guests continued to be entertained by side-splitting comedian Shazia Mirza. The guest speaker James Caan then entered the room to his signature Dragons Den soundtrack and left guests amazed by his business words of wisdom. He bravely then opened the floor to a Q and A session where guests continued to be intrigued by his achievements. The evening continued to be a success for the cause after an extremely competitive live auction. To conclude and lighten the mood guests were entertained by a medley of songs performed by Navin Kundra followed by a party packed dance floor to the sounds of Kudos Music. Maz events team are extremely proud to have been selected to support such a worthwhile cause.

Two Kisses for Eventologists




Leading Leicester based events company Eventologists celebrated with Tigers players Geordan Murphy and Martin Castro Giovanni as they unveiled their new bar and Italian restaurant ‘Timo’ in Market Harborough on Thursday 28th October 2010.

Eventologists have a long list of corporate and celebrity clients including Tigers, Alison Goldfrapp, David Lloyd Clubs, The Atomic Weapons Industry, Sony TV for whom they have organised events, produced installations and provided theming and entertainment. For the Timo project, they designed the Interior the restaurant and organised the launch event which was attended by patrons and celebrities. The stunning and sophisticated interior features a specially designed wallpaper created by the Eventologists Design Team. The LED chandaliers and hand-made sofa’s, along with the interior in the Timo signature colours of black and maroon, provides the finishing touches. Guests were welcomed by venetian masked ladies on stilts at the launch event which was was attended by Martin Johnson, Austin Healy, fellow Tigers team members and others from the Rugby fraternity.

Rita Chandarana from Eventologists pictured comments “Castro and Geordan were delighted with the overall design of the new restaurant. Eventologists were given a very challenging brief to design the interior in keeping with the Timo brand and organise the launch – all within 3 weeks! The new website is shortly to be launched with information on special events and features.”
