Most readers and followers of Maz of Leicester know that most of our work comes through word of mouth. We are always doing weddings within family and friend groups. But how do you top the wedding of a bride whose sister’s wedding was so amazing. Last year, we did the decoration of Sharon and Bunty’s wedding at New Bingly Hall with our water feature, a glam and glitz theme along with the appearance of the Bhangra bot and Petal arch. People were still talking about it this year, when Sureena, Sharon’s sister booked us with a challenge of making her theme just as wow and stunning!

We came up with a candle and crystal themed wedding!

Have you ever heard of an intimate candle themed wedding? How do you create this wwhen you have 900 people at a wedding? Well Maz Events Team were set that challenge!  Why does every ride love candles? It represents including the love that lights your future life, light that wipes out darkness and shows us how love can brighten our life. A candle creates warmth just as we feel warmth from love and everything we love. A candle can give a sense of direction and draw people together, reminding us of how our love is a binding force.

People love candles at weddings, a candle look at weddings can be created from candle centerpieces, candle wedding favors to tea light candles as apart of the décor, candle walkways and or even a candle top table. Sureena loved candle centerpieces so we used our hanging birdcages to create the intimate and romantic feel on table centres. When creating your candle centerpieces think along the lines of having different size candles or having candles at a height. You could do simple things like floating candle holders or tea light candleholders; everything doesn’t have to be extravagant to look exquisite. Remember when having a romantic wedding, sometimes simplicity is better. Our candle birdcages are very chic and we used this along with our unique candlewall top table backdrop. We designed the candle top table or some people just refer to it as the candle backdrop at Amit’s wedding 5 years ago and it has been very popular with brides ever since. Sureena loved it but wanted to create even more sparkle on it. So we gave her a tree canopy over it with flowers and crystals.

Then we integrated sparkly crystals. Crystal wedding themes offer a stunning way to add sparkle using crystal diamantes to your wedding. Sureena added sparkle to her crystal themed wedding with gorgeous crystal wedding table gems in purple around flower table centres. We used our stylish wedding crystal garlands to decorate the sparkly tree walkway and top table.

Sureena loves sparkle, glitter, and shimmer and using crystals for Wedding Decorations worked really well creating the glamorous and elegant wedding theme with twinkling crystal.

We incorporated all of this with purple tones and touches of orange to create warmth and brought purple and white table centres to create a soft and romantic touch to the wedding. Our walkway was a special feature for Sureena – we created a special crystal tree walkway for her that brought all the sparkle and glamour together and created the wow as guests walked in.

The reaction – another stunning wedding by Maz of Leicester. Sureena loved it, guests loved it and New Bingly Hall looked superb once again – by the Maaz touch. Our beautiful bride Kerandeep was married on 16th June at Sports Connexions in Ryton and what a grand and sophisticated wedding we created. Keran chose a purple and plum theme with white to keep the wedding contemporary but classical. We created a stunning hanging candle backdrop for her top table
A Purple, plum, Lavender and/or Lilac  wedding theme makes a great canvass for amazing ideas for a wedding from wedding Favours, purple table centres, plum top table backdrops and chair cover bows. Purple can be used to create a royal theme or a delicate natural theme. It’s a mysterious colour that can be used for evening weddings. The most natural and delicate flowers exist in purple such as sweet-smelling lavender, orchid, lilac, and violets that can be used to create purple centrepieces. Deep or bright purples suggest riches and wealth, while lighter purples are more romantic and delicate. The colour purple represents nobility, royalty, luxury, authority, creativity, inspiration, and spirituality. The darker shades of purple represent sensuality, while the lighter shades of purple represent romance and delicate.
Lavenders and Lilacs are wonderful for spring and summer weddings. Deep purples, plum and aubergine are great for autumn and winter weddings. Keran chose a plum colour throughout her setting with orchid floral tables centres to bring the colour to table centres.

In 2012, purple has been very popular for creating delicate weddings, royal weddings all the way through to glamorous and grown-up when used with other dark shades like black. We loved working on Keran’s theme and suggest you look at her images to be inspired into using the colour purple for your event.

Maz had a great day with Kiran and Ajay Patel at their civil wedding in Central London on the buses. Maz’s creative juices were flowing when Kiran decided for a fun slightly unconventional choice of transport for their wedding car on a red London Bus. Kiran was the most delightful bride who wanted casual and contemporary wedding photography for her civil wedding. Maz in his usual fun style, created some lovely images of the day which is just the start of Kiran and Ajay’s wedding story.

The beautiful bride and groom had a small intimate ceremony with immediate family in London. All eyes were on the stunning bride who wore a pink and hold lengha. The groom looked dashing in his wedding suit.
The theme for the day was light hearted and fun and this is the atmosphere that Maz captured in his photography. We would like to thank Kiran and Ajay for their time and patience. It was windy and rainy at times, but this did not spoil their fun and their big smiles. This showed in their photography. We congratulate the families and look forward to working with them at the wedding coming soon!

The Maz of Leicester Team had a star studded weekend this weekend when he photographed yet another Bachchan – this time Jaya Bachchan who visited Leicester for a an event  that was held by Silver Star, a Leicester based charity founded by British MP Keith Vaz.

The event, which took place today on 16th June at Platinum Suite, Leicester attracted over 800 fans and contributors for Keith Vaz’s important diabetes charity. This is the first time that Maz has photographed Jaya Bachchan which now almost completes his family portraits of the Bachchans. Maz’s famous image of Big B at Big Ben is iconic of Amitabh Bachchan in London, then his stunning portrayal of Aishwariya Rai Bachchan as an oil painting capturing her beauty and sophistication, this weekend he capture both Mother and son Abishek and Jaya. Thousands of fans waited to see the couple and Maz had a challenging job moving faster than the speed of light to get the best images of them. Other stars on the night included Naveen Kundra and Signature who performed on the night.

Maz was taken by surprise during the evening, when he was presented with an award from Keith Vaz for his services. Rekha also had a lovely surprise when she was asked to garland Jaya Bachchan. All in all the weekend was one that Maz of Leicester will always remember as a highlight.

The Maz of Leicester Team had a star studded weekend this weekend when we photographed Indian film actors Abishek Bachchan and Aishwariya Rai Bachchan attended a diabetes charity dinner in London recently. The event was held by Silver Star, a Leicester based charity founded by British MP Keith Vaz.

The event, which took place today on 15th June at the Radisson Hotel (Heathrow, London), was graced by the celebrity couple who also posed with Amitabh Bachchan’s wax statue which was placed at the venue from London’s Madame Tussauds. This is the second time that Maz has photographed Aishwariya Rai Bachchan. The first was when she was single. He presented a beautiful portrait of her and she commented that she liked her photo and thanked him for it. Always a delight to photograph and of course as one of the most beautiful women in the world, Maz’s job was made that much easier. It was the first time that Maz had photographed Abishek Bachchan. Maz commented that he was handsome and true gentlemen like his father. Thousands of fans waited to see the couple and Maz had a challenging job moving faster than the speed of light to get the best images of them.
