We had a really fun year in 2012 and thought we would share some of our favourite Indian wedding decorations that we created in each town.

These stage backdrops were used for a variety of events such as reception stages, Mehndi Stages, Nikkah Stages and Walima Stages. Our wedding mandaps and wedding mandap decorations are as unique as our wedding stages. The Indian wedding mandaps in our range consist of traditional and contemporary mandaps. In Birmingham mandaps are very much dependant on the size and styling of the venue. For some venues, mandaps will require stages and other venues will have restrictions on stages. Wedding Mandaps whilst functional, can also be stylish and unusual. Then finally, we created a range of Asian Wedding backdrops and reception decorations that were stunning and seriously unique for brides and grooms. The candle wall was very popular in Birmingham venues as a Asian toptable backdrop as people love candles for wedding backdrops for their venue decor. If you received a wedding invitation and the venue read the Savoy, unsurprisingly you would be slightly taken aback. When we were asked to decorate a wedding at the Savoy in London, we were slightly surprised too. As you know however, no task is too small, too big or too different for the Maz team, so we grabbed the bull by the horns and went charging in, delivering our impeccable services to create Indian glamour at the Savoy. What better ways to kick start the re-opening of Maz’s London division than to be asked to theme this for Geeta & Jai’s wedding and reception.

Geeta was looking for nothing less than perfect for her wedding and reception. She wanted that something to add that touch of sparkle to such a unique venue. Along with Kavita part of the Maz of London team, Geeta decided on a sophisticated white theme. This encompassed fairy-tale feature such as a classic white Mandap sparkling with a trim of Swarovski crystals, slim white flower arrangements, a white carpet, candle-lit tables and, enchanting white voile draping. The white wedding was a stunning choice for this timeless elegant venue. It was sharp, modern and classically regal just like the Savoy.

Not very well-known for hosting Asian weddings yet, this was only one of few Asian weddings ever to be held at the Savoy in London and Maz of London’s very first time at the venue itself. And what a spectacular venue it is to behold! Being one of the world's iconic hotels, The Savoy, originally opened in 1889, has played host to royalty, world leaders and legends of the stage and screen.  The hotel seamlessly blends elements of the original and the new while the stunning English Edwardian and Art Deco interiors sparkle with timeless elegance and glamour. The Savoy adds touches of elegance and refinement to any event. Coupled with the unbeatable wedding planning services of Bruce Russell, a leading wedding and event professional and Maz’s theming and any event held here is one that is made truly unforgettable!

It was an honour for the Maz team to be a part of this wonderful, elegant wedding at the Savoy and we're pleased to add this to our endless list of venues at which we've themed in the past.
