Sawariya Meets Twilight - Another magical wedding by Maz

When Rina decided to marry Raj, her ultimate dream came true! Our biggest Bollywood singing, dancing Rina, wanted to live her very own “Bollywood Fairytale”. Her theme for her entire wedding was Saawariya meets Twilight. Rina married Raj at Goosedale in Nottingham on a glorious crisp March Day. The day was truly romantic. The Wedding Decor

We created a magical bespoke Mandap with fairy lights and ivy. The lights were dim, candles were glowing and the Goosedale Marquee looked stunning. We chose to create a clean and contemporary mandap with lots of lighting to bring the ‘Twilight’ theme to life during the day. It was pretty, vintage and tres chic.

The evening was our Bollywood Princesses pièce de résistance with her Saawariya themed reception. Lots of LED mood lighting in turquoise, candles everywhere, pretty birdcages with ivy and a cute sweetheart table for Raj and Rina.

The Couple’s Look

Rina had three events in one day; the civil wedding, traditional Indian wedding ceremony and wedding reception at Goosedale Conference and Banqueting Suite.

She chose a stunning diamante wedding gown for the morning – as she walked down the aisle, you could definitely tell that she was living her Cinderella moment. A slightly nervous and shy Rina, soon relaxed as her eyes met with her Prince Charming. Raj wore a morning suit, to co-ordinate with a very English occasion.

The traditional Indian wedding look was stunning. Rina wore a lengha that she purchased in Mumbai that truly suited her. It was lengha and top with a bit of a modern twist. Not the typical bridal look, which was something that Rina wanted to avoid. The lengha was gold and rani with lots of bling.

The evening was a dramatic blue and green theme. A one shoulder brocade and diamante mix. Rina looked sultry and very stunning – the choice of colour was unusual but fitting. Raj looked so cool in his blue suit, to match Rina’s look.

Her make-up during the day changed quite dramatically. The very talented Sukhjeet from Sajja Beauty gave her a 50-60’s look at the civil wedding with pastel lips and neutral tones. The Indian wedding look was sparkly, pink and less traditional – which is exactly what Rina wanted. The evening reception was smoky eyes, nude lipstick and verrrrry sexy!

The couple danced the evening away to their favourite Bollywood tracks as well as a waltz for their first dance.

Congratulations to Raj and Rina on a very unique Bollywood Wedding – We loved it!
