If you received a wedding invitation and the venue read the Savoy, unsurprisingly you would be slightly taken aback. When we were asked to decorate a wedding at the Savoy in London, we were slightly surprised too. As you know however, no task is too small, too big or too different for the Maz team, so we grabbed the bull by the horns and went charging in, delivering our impeccable services to create Indian glamour at the Savoy. What better ways to kick start the re-opening of Maz’s London division than to be asked to theme this for Geeta & Jai’s wedding and reception.

Geeta was looking for nothing less than perfect for her wedding and reception. She wanted that something to add that touch of sparkle to such a unique venue. Along with Kavita part of the Maz of London team, Geeta decided on a sophisticated white theme. This encompassed fairy-tale feature such as a classic white Mandap sparkling with a trim of Swarovski crystals, slim white flower arrangements, a white carpet, candle-lit tables and, enchanting white voile draping. The white wedding was a stunning choice for this timeless elegant venue. It was sharp, modern and classically regal just like the Savoy.

Not very well-known for hosting Asian weddings yet, this was only one of few Asian weddings ever to be held at the Savoy in London and Maz of London’s very first time at the venue itself. And what a spectacular venue it is to behold! Being one of the world's iconic hotels, The Savoy, originally opened in 1889, has played host to royalty, world leaders and legends of the stage and screen.  The hotel seamlessly blends elements of the original and the new while the stunning English Edwardian and Art Deco interiors sparkle with timeless elegance and glamour. The Savoy adds touches of elegance and refinement to any event. Coupled with the unbeatable wedding planning services of Bruce Russell, a leading wedding and event professional and Maz’s theming and any event held here is one that is made truly unforgettable!
